Makale's photos

My super adorable niece is the one who took these photos. She really likes taking the camera and messing about with it and I have to admit I love the photos :) Taken by her little self, they evoke nothing but love and those moments that just make me giggle when I reminisce. So here is a short story, by Makale. There once was a little girl who liked taking photos of anything she pointed the camera on First it was of her mother Then me while I was getting ready to head out Then again rushed to the bathroom, asking me what I was doing 'Just putting some make-up on' I replied Once I got in the bedroom, I took the camera from her and took a picture, she wasn't happy Then I told her I'd get her candy on my way back The end.

Leather

There was an exhibition at the London College of Fashion, JPS branch about leather. I was on my way to the library when I noticed it and found it so 'wicked'! Leather manipulated in such exotic forms, my kind of thing. Such beautiful works.

Back to London, from the holidays

Back to London, back to school and back to work. So pretty much back to reality and happy belated new year to us :) I celebrated my time with friends and family in cold, snowy Indiana and here's a random recap of my little cherished moments... Playing in the snow with my super dooper adorable niece A dinner then drinks affair on new year with Grant and Siri. Lovely characters. I laughed so hard that night, I cried. and we walked along the somewhat quiet streets of the city I also went to Ohio to see my besties I hadn't seeen in YEARS!!! I miss my girls so much!!! And my wonderful high school friends :) Karla, Dani, Franci and Dash ;) I swear, sometimes I wonder why I ever left Indiana. Catching up with them over a 'guess who' game. And then we headed to the Hookah Bar, WHAT A NIGHT! Great thing we're all over 21 these days Of course I had to cut my hair again Then I came back to London and moved again. After work time, it's play time

A marketing school project I was working on. Designing for a market. One of the most stressful time ever especially on the hand in day, I was rushing in between campuses to drop all my assignments, life of a student... But once I finished my toile, I experienced the most relaxing and happiest feeling, making it so worth it! I think I did good (pat on my back). After all the hard work, I could only reward myself with a trip to Indiana!!! I miss my nieces and nephew, my family and friends, the bf, the food, the culture...If anything, it's been the hardest thing I have had to deal with, the emotions. I hate being away from the ones I love, from home. It's honestly the most depressing feeling and it is the major factor that gives me thoughts of leaving London, quitting, just going away and not want to come back. However on the other hand, I have so much going on right now that I can't just give up and go back to basics. "No no no...This is just part of growing up" I keep reminding myself. I'm leaving this upcoming Monday and I'll be there for the holidays. I'm so happy :)

What's been happening

An up-to-date about what has happened in the past few weeks. 1. School-Work-School-Work-A little bit of fun-School-Work-School-Night out-School-Work 2. My boyfriend was in town for 3 weeks :) need I to say more? 3. All my assignments are due next week, PRESSURE! then we are off for a whole month! and finally 4. I'm trying to save enough to get my flight for Indianapolis and make it for the holidays. I need some home/family time to reassess my well being. Here are some highlights in pictures (I don't want to bore you to death with so MANY WRITTINGS ON THE WALL) starting with Halloween :) One of Madame Tussauds' wonders Guy Fawkes' Fireworks at Greenwich was a BLAST. We went to The Tower of London, but couldn't get it because they were closing. So we decided to go to Shakespeare's' Globe Theatre instead We did so much more, spent all of our money and then he went...

One of my closest girl was in town last week and we hadn't seen each other in over 10 years! so it was girls time to catch up :) Here we are right before hitting Chinatown in West End for a birthday get together. My jeans are actually men's Levi's. I got them while in Indiana this summer at a thrift store :) I love them so much! reminds me of Molly Ringwald back in the 80's Wedges are from Office and they are super comfy! The white tank is from M&S, kids' wear 13-14years old :b Rounded up with my 'looking less like a bun' but more like 'tête d'ananas' (my pineapple head/hair style) xx
